Leadership Fundamentals - Emotional Intelligence
-
Level: Leader
-
Course time: 1 hour
Have you ever been pushed to your emotional limit? You know the right thing to do is a pause before responding, but you can’t stop yourself from either an angry outburst or giving someone the silent treatment. Emotional intelligence is the ability to navigate your emotions to achieve productive outcomes. It’s hard but essential and is the foundational skill for all other people skills.
As a leader, you need to be able to build trust, relationships, and achieve buy in from others. Emotional intelligence, the ability to be aware of, control, and express your own emotions to foster positive relationships is a key skill for a leader.
